Filmadic was born out of the idea of providing people with choices through movie lists, reviews and ‘top picks’. Our purpose is to inspire others to watch more movies and engage with modern filmmakers who have so much to offer.
We specialize in a range of topics, such as cult movies from the 80s and 90s, classic Hollywood cinema, and independent films. We want to encourage all generations to embrace films for what they are – art and entertainment, and it’s absolutely OK to have favorites. But to have favorites, you need to know what you don’t like, and that’s why the content on our site is so diverse.
The Team
Eline Yang
Eline Yang is a big fan of anime, LOTR, and the Marvel Universe and has an MA in Film Studies. She works as a promo producer for one of the biggest TV production companies in Scandinavia, Nordic Entertainment.
Giulia Marinelli
Giulia Marinelli received her certificate in Script Supervision from the National Film and Television School and has since worked on various projects. Giulia also holds a masters degree from Rufa, Rome University of Fine Arts and has directed several short films.
Josie Thornton
Josie is our senior editor and in-house horror expert. Josie completed her MA in Film from Oxford Brookes University and wrote her master’s dissertation on the evolution of the haunted house in horror films. She has previously worked as a location scout and production coordinator but now focuses her time as a manager at Taste Film, a London events company.
